EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro University Athletic Department recently held its Toys for tots program in conjunction with several athletic events, and it proved very successful.  A program that was first initiated a year ago at the suggestion of assistant athletic trainer Audra Neumann, the department offered free admission to three athletic events with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy.  Those events included the men's basketball game against Urbana on November 27, the women's basketball game on December 4 vs. Urbana, and the wrestling match on December 2 vs. Virginia Tech.  This year close to 100 toys were collected.  Neumann then took the toys to the U.S. Marines Corps office in Erie for distribution to needy families in the area.
