ERIE, Pa. -- The Edinboro Women's Lacrosse team participated in the Erie Polar Plunge on Saturday, November 12. The Polar Plunge is a fun, and unique way for people to support local Special Olympic athletes by running into icy cold waters, in this instance, Lake Erie. Plunge participants raised close to $80,000 for Special Olympics Pennsylvania, the state's largest year-round organization devoted to sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The Women's Lacrosse team raised a total of $110 that will go towards the Special Olympics.
