ERIE, Pa. – Members of the Edinboro University wheelchair basketball and football teams joined forces on Friday, March 24 to challenge the Erie City and Council to a game of wheelchair basketball at Erie Insurance Arena as part of "On the Ball!". The event was part of a fundraiser to benefit the Erie-based Mission Empower and the Edinboro University wheelchair basketball team.

Head coach Jim Glatch and his squad were joined by Edinboro football tight end Ryan Stratton, who recruited fellow players Marquese Moore, Maurice Sims, Michael Rizzuto, Tyler Rolick, Shane Rolick, Vitaliy Gurman, and Dominick Hitchcock. The Fighting Scots and the Erie City and Council squared off in a 5-on-5 contest as part of an effort to raise awareness on disability and show how athletes with disabilities break barriers through fair play, teamwork, athletics, and athleticism.
