Andrea Williams ('94) is being inducted as the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. She was a standout for the women's basketball team for two seasons from 1991-93, also playing softball, and has since moved on to enjoy a successful career as a women's basketball coach. A guard, she transferred to Edinboro from Vincennes Community College. In 1991-92, he helped Edinboro post a 22-8 record, finishing as the PSAC runners-up and earning a berth in the NCAA Division II Playoffs. She averaged 11.0 ppg. with 111 assists. In 1992-93, she once again helped the Fighting Scots reach the NCAA Tournament, finishing at 18-12. She finished third on the team in scoring (11.4 ppg.) and rebounding (5.5 rpg.) with 105 assists. Williams served as a graduate assistant coach under Stan Swank from 1995-97, helping the 1996-97 team win the PSAC Championship and reach the Elite Eight. She took over as the head coach of the women's basketball team at Waynesburg later that year, leading the Yellow Jackets for two seasons, in addition to coaching the softball and cross country teams. She then held a number of assistant coaching positions, beginning with three seasons at the University of Tampa (1999-2002), followed by a two-year stint at the United States Naval Academy (2002-04). She joined the staff of Jacksonville University in 2004, and had a four-year run with the Dolphins. Jacksonville posted a 44-17 record her final two years, with a school-record 23 wins in 2007-08. In 2009, she moved up to the Big East as a member of the South Florida coaching staff. She helped the Bulls to a pair of Women's NIT appearances, including a WNIT championship in 2008-09 as South Florida finished at 27-10. Williams took over as the head coach at the Air Force Academy in 2010. She would serve as the Falcons' head coach for four years, from 2010-14, winning more games in her first season than the Falcons' previous two seasons combined. Her Air Force teams would go on to win the program's first Mountain West Conference (WMC) game in four years and second-overall in program history. Williams took an assistant coaching position at Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne in 2015-16, and has been an assistant coach at Oakland University the last two years. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Edinboro in Health & Physical Education in 1994. She currently resides in Rochester Mills, Mich.
