Brooke Heath ('09) is one of the most decorated swimmers in Edinboro history, either male or female. While competing for the Fighting Scots from 2004-08, the native of Canada was an 11-time All-American and was an honorable mention All-American once while specializing in the breaststroke. She was selected as Edinboro's 2008 Nancy Acker Award recipient. Heath was the 2004-05 PSAC Rookie of the Year, then as a senior was the 2007-08 PSAC Swimmer of the Year and the 2008 PSAC Championships Outstanding Swimmer. She held several records at one time, and still holds the record in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:17.94). She opened her career with a pair of All-American certificates at the 2005 NCAA Division II National Championships, finished third in the 200-yard breaststroke and fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke. In addition, she earned honorable mention All-American accolades with a tenth place showing in the 200-yard IM. In 2005-06, she was a three-time All-American with second place finishes in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke and a fifth place showing in the 200-yard IM. She added a second place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke the following year, plus a fourth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke and a seventh place finish in the 200-yard IM. As a senior in 2007-08, she added her third straight second place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke, along with a third place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke and a fifth place in the 200-yard IM. Heath earned five first place finishes at the PSAC Championships, along with five second place showings. She was a 14-time All-PSAC performer. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication in 2009. While residing in Ingersoll, Ontario, she has maintained her swimming career as a coach and swimmer. She has been the head coach of Middlesex Swimming in London, Ontario since 2010, producing provincial champions and national level swimmers. As a masters swimmer, Heath has 10 gold provincial medals and holds the provincial record in the 100 breaststroke. She competed in the 2015 Masters World Championships in Montreal. She is engaged to Josh Colton and the stepmother to Hannah (10), Norah (8) and Price (8).
