Bryan Lambert ('97) was a standout on the football team from 1992-95, and also distinguished himself in track & field. On the gridiron, he teamed with fellow Hall of Famer Pat Schuster on the defensive line to help Edinboro post a 32-10-1 record during his four seasons, with the Fighting Scots reaching the NCAA Division II Playoffs in 1993 and 1995, along with winning the PSAC West championship in 1995. The 1995 squad went 9-2, tying the school record for wins in a season. He was an All-PSAC West second team selection in 1994 and 1995. Lambert ranks fifth in career quarterback sacks with 21.5, and his four sacks in a game against Slippery Rock in 1995 ranks second. A three-year starter, he finished his junior season with a career-best 73 tackles, including 11 tackles for losses and 7 sacks. In 1995, he matched those numbers with 72 tackles, 17.5 tackles for losses, and 7.5 sacks. He was a two-time NCAA Division II outdoor national qualifier in the shot put in track & field. He was the PSAC outdoor champion in the shot put in 1996 (52'7") and 1997 (51'7 ¾"), and also captured second place for All-PSAC honors in the discus in 1997 (156'6 ¼"). He would go on to earn All-American honors in the shot put in 1997 thanks to a seventh place finish. His throw of 55'2" at Nationals remains the Edinboro school record. He also set the school record in the discus, a mark which has since been broken.  Lambert was named to the Edinboro Track & Field All-Time Team. He graduated in 1997 with a  Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies/Geography. He resides in Logan, Ohio and has two sons, Tony and Jack. He is a foreman at Complete General Construction.
