Edinboro University Athletics

Diana Holder Mezler ('96) was a standout on the Edinboro softball team from 1993-96, playing second base and third base for the Fighting Scots.  She was a three-time All-PSAC West honoree, earning first team All-PSAC West honors as a utility player in 1994, then second team honors at second base in 1995 and at third base in 1996. In addition, she was a second team All-Region selection as a senior. She was named to Edinboro's all-time softball team. She would hit over .300 all four seasons, ending her career with a .330 average, good for 13^th all-time. In 1995, she finished second on the team with a .319 batting average with 10 doubles, which is tied for fourth in a season. She added a triple and two home runs while driving in 16 runs. She was also second in 1996 with a career-best .365 average, with 9 doubles, a triple, a home run, and 22 RBI's.  In addition to ranking in career average, she is sixth in doubles (23), seventh in career runs (80), tied for 11^th in RBIs, and 12^th in hits (126). In addition to softball, she was a member of the Edinboro women's basketball team for two years. She was previously inducted into the Fort LeBoeuf High School Hall of Fame.
