Diana Holder Mezler ('96) was a standout on the Edinboro softball team from 1993-96, playing second base and third base for the Fighting Scots. She was a three-time All-PSAC West honoree, earning first team All-PSAC West honors as a utility player in 1994, then second team honors at second base in 1995 and at third base in 1996. In addition, she was a second team All-Region selection as a senior. She was named to Edinboro's all-time softball team. She would hit over .300 all four seasons, ending her career with a .330 average, good for 13th all-time. In 1995, she finished second on the team with a .319 batting average with 10 doubles, which is tied for fourth in a season. She added a triple and two home runs while driving in 16 runs. She was also second in 1996 with a career-best .365 average, with 9 doubles, a triple, a home run, and 22 RBI's. In addition to ranking in career average, she is sixth in doubles (23), seventh in career runs (80), tied for 11th in RBIs, and 12th in hits (126). In addition to softball, she was a member of the Edinboro women's basketball team for two years. She was previously inducted into the Fort LeBoeuf High School Hall of Fame.
