George “Whitey” Giesler (’32) for his dedication to teaching and coaching in the Erie area. A 1932 graduate of Edinboro State Teachers College, “Whitey” played two years of basketball for the legendary Sox Harrison while lettering in track and field. An outstanding coach for over 20 years, George served as a teacher in the public school system for nearly 40 years.
