Jarrod King ('10) joins his brother Matt King, a 2015 inductee, as the first pair of brothers in the Edinboro Athletic Hall of Fame. Like Matt, Jarrod was a standout for the Edinboro wrestling team. He joined the Fighting Scots in the 2007-08 season after transferring from Oklahoma, and proceeded to become Edinboro's fourth Division I national champion in his three seasons. King was a three-time national qualifier and two-time All-American at 165 lbs. He won the 165 lb. national championship in 2009 as a junior, winning a 3-2 decision over second-seeded Andrew Howe of Wisconsin in the finals. He would return to finish third at Nationals as a senior in 2010. He was named the EWL and PSAC Wrestler of the Year both seasons, and was a three-time EWL and PSAC champion. King concluded his career with a 103-16 record, ranking fifth in career winning percentage (.833). After going 32-9 in 2007-08, King posted a 32-5 record with 10 falls while winning the national championship in 2008-09. He followed that up with a 39-2 record in 2009-10, reaching the semifinals at Nationals. King was inducted into the Southwestern Pennsylvania Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Pennsylvania Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2020. He was also an excellent student and was a three-time NWCA All-Academic Team honoree.
