Kelly Richards (Latimer) ('06) was named to Edinboro’s All-Time Track & Field Team after competing from 2002-06. She was a two-time All-American in track while competing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, placing seventh in 2003 and third in 2006. In 2005, she fell one spot shy of All-American status, finishing ninth. She was named the PSAC Outdoor Track Track Athlete of the Year as a senior after winning the steeplechase at the 2006 PSAC Championships. In cross country, she was a four-time All-East Region runner and All-PSAC performer. She helped Edinboro to four PSAC Championships and three East Regional titles. The 2004 team posted the best finish in school history at Nationals, placing second, with Richards narrowly missing All-American honors, coming in 38th. In cross country, she finished in the top five of the PSAC Championships three of her four years and was in the top ten in the East Regional three times. An outstanding student, Richards was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-American Team in 2005 and ’06, and was awarded a NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship.
