Tim Flynn has served as Edinboro’s wrestling coach since 1997. He holds the career record for wins with a 215-90-5 record, and has led the Fighting Scots to 15 EWL Championships and 17 PSAC Championships in his 20 seasons as head coach. He has coached three national champions, 38 All-Americans, 61 EWL champions, and 94 PSAC champions. Flynn has been named the PSAC Coach of the Year 14 times and the EWL Coach of the Year seven times. He guided Edinboro to the school’s first-ever appearance on the podium with a third place finish at the 2015 NCAA Division I National Championships. Edinboro had four All-Americans. The year before, the Fighting Scots finished fifth at Nationals, with Flynn being named the NWCA NCAA Division I Coach of the Year in 2013-14, along with sharing InterMat Coach of the Year honors, and being selected WIN’s Dan Gable Coach of the Year. The 2005-06 Fighting Scots finished with a perfect 12-0 record, the only Division I team to go undefeated. Edinboro departed Nationals with three All-Americans and an eighth place finish. The 2008-09 Fighting Scots finished sixth at Nationals, with three All-Americans.
