Tom Hollman coached the Edinboro football team from 1988 to 1999. During that 12-year period he led the Fighting Scots to a 78-49-2 record in 12 seasons. He holds the school record for career wins and ranks second in winning percentage at .612. He was recognized as the PSAC Coach of the Year in 1989 and again in 1995. He led the 1989 team to an 8-3 record, the PSAC Western Division championship, and a first-ever berth in the NCAA Division II Playoffs. The Fighting Scots finished the year ranked seventh. The 1995 team also won the PSAC West title and appeared in the NCAA Playoffs, finishing with a 9-2 record and a ranking of eighth. The nine wins ties the school record for wins in a season. He also led the 1990 squad to nine wins, as the Fighting Scots finished with a 9-3 ledger. That team came up with Edinboro’s first NCAA playoff win, a 38-14 victory at Virginia Union. All told, his teams would qualify for the NCAA playoffs five times in a seven-year period and finish in the Division II Top 25 seven times. Five of his 12 teams won eight-or-more games.
