William “Whitey” Hoffman (’32) for his loyalty and dedication to the Edinboro football squad in the late 1920’s. “Whitey” was in his glory in a rough game. He sparked the squad to a 5-2 mark in 1929. A bruising fullback, Hoffman was equally as tough on defense. Also a guard/forward on the basketball squad and student government president at Edinboro.
