Indianapolis, Ind. – Two Edinboro athletes Jillian Ball of women's soccer and Clay Cunningham of football earned the Division II Degree Completion Award for the 2023-24 Academic Year.
 
Degree Completion Award recipients must be within 36 semester hours of completing their first undergraduate. Recipients must be in good academic standing at their institution.
 
Ball has played in 35 games in the last two seasons for the Fighting Scots. She has made 11 starts. She played 796 minutes as a defender for Edinboro and recorded eight shots, with five on goal in the 2022 season. Ball is a Health Sciences / Pre-Med major.
 
Cunningham is coming off a breakout 2022. Cunningham finished fourth in the country in tackles with 11.4 per contest. He tallied 13.5 tackles for loss and five sacks. He also recorded one interception. He was a College Sports Communicators All-District selection. Cunningham was a second-team All-PSAC West second-team linebacker. Cunningham is an Early Childhood Education major.
