The Fighting Scots Female Athlete of the Week is sophomore Liz Debo (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin). Edinboro’s leading returning goal scorer after netting seven goals last season, started out the new year on fire over the past week. She registered a team-best three goals in Edinboro victories against Notre Dame (OH) (2-0) and Lake Erie (5-1). Against Notre Dame, Liz scored the first goal of the season for the Scots by sailing a shot over the shoulder of the Falcon goalie. On Saturday, she again tallied what turned out to be the game-winning goal with her first score of the day before adding a second goal during the second half. Three of her four shots on goal found the net during the week.
