Overview

The Edinboro University sports medicine staff provides service to the student-athletes on the Edinboro campus throughout the week. On game day, the staff also provides service to opposing teams, e.g., sideline amenities, as well as emergency medical assistance.

The Athletic Training Room is located on the lower level of McComb Fieldhouse. It houses taping platforms, modalities and rehab equipment.

The Athletic Training Room will be open two hours before athletic events and a half hour after athletic events. If you do not travel with your team please call ahead with this information. No modality treatments will be performed on your team unless a certified athletic trainer from your school is present.

Athletic Training Room Guidelines

TRAINING ROOM RULES & TREATMENT OF INJURIES:
Athletes have free access to the athletic training room equipment and supplies with permission and supervision of the athletic trainers.

Proper clothing (shirts & shorts) will be worn in the athletic training room and other public facilities at all times. All of our athletic training facilities are coed. There are no cell phones allowed in the athletic training room.

Each day if any athlete has an injury or abnormal condition that persists, it is the athlete's responsibility to report that injury to the athletic training staff. When you are in the training room we need 100 percent cooperation. Effective care begins with respect of the staff and the help they are providing. Athletes in need of seeing a physician should contact the athletic training room at 814-723-1860.

Athletic trainers and team physicians will determine the proper care and treatment for all athletic related injuries and illness.
