Darren Massey (McKees Rocks, Pa./Montour) set the Edinboro single-season record for receptions with six grabs for 161 yards against Slippery Rock on Saturday, giving him 68 for the season. The redshirt sophomore also scored the Fighting Scots’ lone touchdown in the contest. He needed three catches against The Rock to break Ryan Valasek's record of 64 receptions in a season. The 161 yards matches his career-high set earlier in the year at Shippensburg, and gives him 771 yards for the season. That ranks ninth in a season. It is also his third 100-yard game of the year. In addition, the 76-yard TD reception was his ninth of the year, moving him into a tie for fourth place. Massey ranks fifth in the PSAC averaging 85.7 receiving yards per game, third with 7.6 receptions per game, third in receiving yards, and tied for fifth with nine touchdown grabs.
