Laura Crooks (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) hit safely in nine out of ten games this past week including extending her hitting streak at one point to 11 games, the longest such streak in the past four years for the Fighting Scots. She hit 18-for-32 (.563) with 11 runs and six stolen bases across 10 games. Against Pitt-Johnstown on Sunday, she hit her first career home run in the first game, an inside the park homer down the left field line. For the day she batted 5-for-6 with four runs, one home run, two RBI, and two stolen bases. Crooks reached 42 hits for the season on Sunday, tied for the 11^th-most in a single season. The sophomore centerfielder has 14 stolen bases this season which is one shy of the top 12 for a single season in school history.
