This week’s Fighting Scots Male Athlete of the Week is sophomore Kevin Caldwell (Hudson, OH/Hudson). Caldwell, last year’s PSAC Men’s Tennis Freshman of the Year, reached the singles semifinals at last weekend’s PSAC Tennis Championships. Caldwell defeated Millersville's Corey Garnier, 6-1, 6-2, and West Chester's Lars Kristiansen, 6-1, 6-4 on Saturday to advance to the semifinals. In the semis, Caldwell had a hard-fought battle with eventual champion Varun Desai - Caldwell captured the first set, 7-6, before Desai roared back for a 6-1 victory in the second set. Desai advanced to the championship round with a 10-8 third set win.
