Vitor Albanese (Barueri, Brazil) finished second in singles at the ITA/USTA Atlantic Regional Championships, hosted by Mercyhurst University at the Pennbriar Athletic Club. He was the number-one seed heading into the regional championships. Albanese defeated his first-round opponent, West Chester's Tony Deimler, in two sets, 6-1 and 6-4. He then beat Mercyhurst's Travis Beck in the second round, 6-0 and 6-3. He went on to down Charleston's Alec Foote in the quarterfinals, 7-5 and 7-6 (5) and Charleston's Axel Wahl in the semifinals, 6-4 and 6-0. Albanese met West Liberty's Baptist Perrin in the finals number-two seed, where he fell, 7-6 (4) and 6-4.
