Vitor Albanese (Barueri, Brazil) captured his third consecutive PSAC singles title at the PSAC Singles and Doubles Championships at Bloomsburg over the weekend, becoming the first player in PSAC history to reach this mark. Albanese defeated Ruri Fraser of Mercyhurst in a 5-7, 7-6, (4), 10-8 decision. Prior to winning his third singles title, he teamed up with Daniel Fernandez to win the PSAC doubles title, 8-1, over Mercyhurst’s Nenad Terzic and Unai Gonzalez. He previously won the singles, and the doubles title with Fernandez, at the 2017 ITA Men’s Atlantic Regional Championships. The duo are set to compete in the doubles competition at the 2017 ITA Oracle Cup in Rome, Ga. on Oct. 11-15, with Albanese also competing in the singles competition.
