Trey Staunch (West Middlesex, Pa. / West Middlesex) recovered an onside kick in the final minutes of the fourth quarter to seal a Homecoming win for Edinboro over Mercyhurst, 28-25. Staunch is in his first season on the offensive line, as he spent the past two seasons at tight end. The right tackle and the rest of the Fighting Scot offensive line have allowed only six sacks through seven games this season.
