Ashley Mutkus is the Edinboro Female Athlete of the Week for the week of October 23-29. A member of the women’s soccer team, Mutkus helped the Fighting Scots record a pair of wins this past week to end the season with a 7-7-3 record. In the process, the native of Monaca, Pa. set the career record for goals scored and points. She had her second career hat trick with three goals in a 7-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown to enter her final career match tied in both categories. Following a scoreless first half against Bloomsburg, Mutkus scored the game’s lone goal at 50:57. It was 39th career goal and gives her 92 career points, both career records. She ended the year with 16 goals and 4 assists for 36 points. Both the goals and points figures are second in a season.
