Edinboro University Athletics

This week's Fighting Scots Female Athlete of the Week is senior Kacey Gibson (New Castle, Pa./ Neshannock).  Kacey finished third at this past Saturday’s Cross Country Atlantic Regional held at Lock Haven University.  In doing so, she qualified for nationals and earned All-Region honors for the second consecutive year.  Her finishing time of 21:06 was just 44.6 seconds behind the first place finisher Katie Spratford of Shippensburg.  Edinboro will compete at Nationals for the first time since 2007, and had its highest finish at the regional since 2007, as well.
