Andrew Shomers went 2-0 on the weekend with a pair of wins over wrestlers from No. 10 Virginia Tech and No. 19 Rider. Against the Hokies, he decisioned B.C. LaPrade, 6-2. It was the second time this season Shomers defeated LaPrade after a 3-2 decision at the Las Vegas Invitational. In the dual against Broncs, Shomers picked up his first win of the season over a nationally-ranked opponent in #16 B.J. Clagon with a 4-3 decision. He got a takedown late in the third period for the win. He is currently 20-5 on the season and 38-10 for his career.

He was also named PSAC Wrestler of the Week.
