Simpson had a game and career-high  34 points in the 97-94 overtime win at Bloomsburg on Sunday as part of PSAC opening weekend. He made 5 of 9 three pointers against the Huskies while going 13 of 14 from the free throw over the weekend. He is averaging 17.2 points a game this season.
