Parsons was one of 77 runners to compete in the 3,000-meter run. She won the event with a provisional time of 9:53.06. On Friday, the sophomore broke her own school record in the one-mile run. Parsons crossed the finish line in third place finish at 4:48.51. The event consisted of 53 participants. Parsons, who broke her previous record by 6.19, originally set it at the 2018 GVSU Big Meet.
Of the four events Parsons has competed in this season, she ranks first in the Atlantic Region in the 800-meter run, one-mile run, and the 3,000-meter run. She has won three events, all with provisional times, and has finished in the top-3 in all four runs. At the YSU National Mid-Major Invitational on Saturday, February 2nd, she competed in the 800-meter run. She won the event by six seconds with a provisional time of 2:11.79. In addition, her finish in the event set a new meet record.
All things told, Parsons ranks fourth in Division II in the one-mile run, is 18th in the 800-meter run, and 25th in the 3,000-meter run.
