Maddie Sleva (Crescent, Pa,/Moon Area) was thrown into the fire in the PSAC semifinals vs. West Chester. The freshman goalkeeper had not played a minute up until the semifinal game. When starter Anna Voelker went down with an injury, Sleva stepped in and led the Fighting Scots to a 1-0 win over the Golden Rams as Edinboro advanced to the PSAC Championship game for the second time in school history. She would play the final 78 minutes and register eight saves.
