Stefanie Parsons (Acton, Ontario/Christ the King) has qualified for the third straight year in the 1-mile run, and will also compete in the 3,000-meter run at the 2020 NCAA Division II Women’s Track & Field Championships. Parsons enters with the sixth-best time in the mile run after posting a time of 4:48.99 in the recent Edinboro Open. She ranks 17th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:41.92 at the GVSU Big Meet. She was part of four wins this past weekend while helping Edinboro finish third at the PSAC Indoor Championships. She ran a leg of the winning Distance Medley relay on Saturday, then came back on Sunday to win the 800-meter run, the 1-mile run, and the 3,000-meter run. Parsons finished 15th as a freshman in the one-mile run. Last year, she earned All-American honors following a sixth place showing. She would later qualify for the Outdoor Nationals in the 1,500-meter run, finishing 14th.
