This week's Fighting Scots Male Athlete of the Week is junior Tony Romanini (Port Matilda, PA/Fork Union Military Academy). Tony set a pool record in the 100-yard backstroke to pace an Edinboro men's swimming victory over PSAC foe Shippensburg, 110-95, on Friday evening. Tony's time of 51.17 was enough to easily take victory in 100 back, setting a Shippensburg pool record in the process. He also set the time to beat in the 200-yard free with a winning time of 1:46.62. In team competition, Edinboro captured victory in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:37.81 behind the efforts of Romanini, Darren Suroviec, Jared Malecki and Seth Dippold. He was also named PSAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week.
