This week's Fighting Scots Female Athlete of the Week is junior Tabitha Bemis (Fair Oaks, PA/Quaker Valley). Tabitha put together an extremely strong showing at the Al Hall Freedom Games on Saturday, posting national provisional qualifying marks in the 60-meter hurdles and long jump. She easily won the 60-meter hurdles with a mark of 8.68, which as of now stands fifth in the nation this year. She also won in the long jump with a mark of 18'9'' and was first in the 200-meter dash at 25.98. Bemis' 60-meter hurdles mark also set a new meet and dome record. Her long jump was also a national provisional mark and she qualified for PSAC championships in the 60-meter hurdles, long jump and 200-meter dash.
