This week's Fighting Scots Female Athlete of the Week is junior track & field athlete Tabitha Bemis (Fair Oaks, PA/Quaker Valley). Bemis led the Fighting Scots to a second-place finish at the 2013 PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, on Feb. 23-24.  She brought home three individual PSAC Championships and was a part of the 4x400-meter relay team that nabbed a first-place finish in the very last event of the competition, pushing Edinboro past Kutztown into second-place.  Bemis’ wins in the 60-meter hurdles, the long jump, and the triple jump and her efforts on the 4x400-meter relay team earned her some hardware from the PSAC.  Thanks to those performances, Bemis was named the Championship Field MVP and the Championship Overall Women’s Most Valuable Athlete.
