Final Results

EDINBORO, Pa (Nov. 16, 2012) – Edinboro's Joshua Beabout and Tony Romanini each won two individual events en route to a 111-84 decision over SUNY Fredonia on Friday night in McComb Fieldhouse.  The Fighting Scots improve to 1-4 with the victory.  

Beabout brought home the 1000 yard freestyle in 10:03.62, a full 36 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.  He also scored the victory in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:56.44. Romanini scored wins in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 1:56.59 and the 200 yard butterfly in 2:03.46. 

Frank Thatcher brought home a first-place finish in the 200 yard freestyle, posting a time of 1:48.09 and secured a pair of second place finishes in the 100 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle.  Ryan Sestak finished first in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.82, edging Thatcher by just .76.  Darren Suroviec and Seth Dippold finished 1-2 respectively in the 200 yard backstroke to round out the victories for the Fighting Scots.

Beabout, Romanini, Thatcher, Jared Malecki, Sestak, Suroviec, and Dippold will all compete in the PSAC Championships as their times meet PSAC qualifying standards.
