FREDONIA, N.Y. (October 26, 2013) – The Edinboro men's swimming team dropped its most recent meet at Fredonia State on October 26, falling 139-94. It was a dual-meet event that saw the Fighting Scots win a few races, but ultimately not enough.

The Fighting Scots won in six of the events. The 400 yard freestyle relay team of Joshua Beabout, Justin Ransel, Frank Thatcher, and Micah Cattell was able to capture the title in the highest-scoring event of the meet. Jared Malecki was also able to pick-up a victory in the 200 yard breaststroke. Thatcher saw continued success in the 500 yard freestyle, defeating Adrian Van Hall by .09 seconds. Thatcher also won the 200 yard freestyle while Beabout picked up victories in the 200 yard butterfly and 1000 yard freestyle to give him three victories on the day.

Edinboro returns to action next Friday, November 1 when they host Malone University. The meet is set to get underway at 6 p.m. and is another dual-meet.
