Meet Results

TIFFIN, Oh. (January 17, 2014) – The Edinboro men's swimming team dropped a pair of decisions at the hands of Tiffin and Malone on Friday evening at Tiffin. The host Dragons narrowly edged the Scots by a score of 71-66, while Malone defeated Edinboro 90-32. The Fighting Scots fell to 1-6 on the year. Malone also defeated Tiffin to improve to 6-1 on the season, while Tiffin moved to 3-3-1 overall.

Nick Wilkinson posted a second-place finish in the 200 yard IM (2:08.48) and third place in the 200 yard backstroke (2:05.73).

Ryne Fromholzer captured second place in the 500 yard freestyle (5:03.86) and third in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:40.44).

Other Fighting Scots to earn third-place finishes for the meet included Chad Murphy 100 in the yard backstroke( 1:00.49), Luke Frederick in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:03.17), Justin Ransel in the 50 yard freestyle (22.66),  Michael O'Polka in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:27.68), Jared Malecki in the 500 yard freestyle (5:07.28) and Josh Beabout in the 200 yard IM (2:10.04).

The Fighting Scots return to action on January 25 when they travel to Clarion in the final dual meet of the season. The event is set to begin at 1 p.m.
