EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro men's swimming team defeated visiting Tiffin University by a score of 109-91 in the Fighting Scots' home opener on Saturday at McComb Fieldhouse.
Josh Beabout and
Micah Cattell collected two first-place finishes each to lead Edinboro on the day.
The quartet of
Nick Wilkinson,
Luke Frederick,
Justin Ransel and Cattell earned a first place finish in the 200 yard medley relay with a mark of 1:40.91.
Josh Beabout finished first in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:25.63, before earning a first-place finish in the 500 yard freestyle at 4:55.33.
Micah Cattell posted first-place finishes in the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard freestyles with marks of 22.26 and 48.97, respectively.
Luke Frederick added a first-place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.68.
The Fighting Scots return to action next Saturday, November 8 hosting PSAC foe Bloomsburg. The meet is slated to begin at 12 noon in Edinboro, Pa.
