The tide of the game turned on a pair of key plays, one late in the second quarter and the other early in the third. After taking a 14-13 lead late in the second quarter, Edinboro had the Griffins stopped near midfield with less than two minutes remaining.
Seton Hill, however, executed a fake punt to perfection, with Khalil Howard rambling 38 yards right up the middle before being tripped up by

On Edinboro's first play from scrimmage in the second half, the Scots tried to run the option for the first time in the game, but Wallman's pitch was errant, with the Griffins recovering at the EU 16. Four plays later, the Griffins were up 30-16 as Brandon Stout scored on a two-yard run. In less than two minutes the Griffins scored a pair of touchdowns.
They would tack on a third score in the third quarter after Wallman's long pass was intercepted at the SHU 3. Pietrangelo capped the seven-play, 97-yard march as he found Ardell Brown for a 56-yard touchdown pass. With 3:16 remaining in the third quarter, Seton Hill now led 37-16.

Cory Bell,
Alex Caratelli hauled in a 15-yard touchdown pass in the back left corner of the end zone.

Darren Massey. Four plays later, Massey caught a short slant pass for a three-yard touchdown pass and a 13-6 lead with 10:20 remaining in the second quarter. It was Wallman's first career touchdown pass. Massey, meanwhile, broke his own school record for season receptions during the drive.
Seton Hill's fast-paced offense went right back down the field on the next series. The Griffins needed just six plays, aided by a 15-yard penalty against the Scots, to take a 14-13 lead with 8:42 left in the half. This series showcased the run, with three rushes for 35 yards. The last was a 14-yard touchdown run by Howard off left guard.
The Fighting Scots would take the lead for the last time at 16-14 late in the first half on a 21-yard field goal by Reese. The Scots drove to the SHU 4, fueled by a 38-yard completion from Wallman to Caratelli on a 3rd-and-4 play to carry down to the ten.

Trey Hall turned in an outstanding effort. The linebacker had 19 tackles, a season-high for a Fighting Scot, with 9 solo.
Edinboro will look to avoid just the second winless season in school history next Saturday, November 14 when the Fighting Scots travel to Millersville for a 1 p.m. kickoff. The Marauders picked up their first win of the season on Saturday, beating winless Cheyney, 26-6.
