EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro men's swimming team dropped their opening meet of the season to visiting Tiffin, 113.5-84.5, on Saturday inside McComb Fieldhouse.
Marcus Grosso won two events with
Tommy Horan,
Jackson Bangert and
Nick Bradford all picking up wins in their events. The Fighting Scots fall to 0-3 on the season while the Dragons improved to 3-1.
Grosso got his first win of the afternoon in the 200-yard freestyle in a PSAC qualifying time of 1:47.08. Horan earned his win in the 50-yard freestyle also in a PSAC qualifying time of :22.40 with Bangert finishing third in the event.
In the 100-yard butterfly, Bangert qualified for the PSAC Championships with a time of :53.53 to win the event.
Zack Bennett finished third for the Fighting Scots. Bradford won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 49.86, narrowly missing out on a PSAC qualifying time by :00.03.
In his second solo win on the day, Grosso won the 500-yard freestyle in a PSAC qualifying time of 5:00.14.
Edinboro will return to the pool when they travel to Shippensburg on Saturday, January 12. The first event is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
