Bradford, Kinney Win Twice for Fighting Scots at Tiffin

TIFFIN, Ohio – Nick Bradford and Ted Kinney paced Edinboro's efforts on Friday night as the men's swimming team competed at Tiffin, suffering a 54-41 loss. Both Edinboro and Tiffin are 1-1 on the young season.

Bradford and Kinney were both double winners. A senior, Bradford posted a time of 1:58.70 to win the 200-yard IM. Kinney, meanwhile is a freshman who touched first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.27.

The duo also swam a leg of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay that recorded a time of 1:28.39. They were joined by Luke Edmonds, another freshman, and Jack Bangert.

The Fighting Scots had five swimmers register PSAC-qualifying marks. They included:

Jackson Bangert – 100-yard butterfly – 51.98
Nick Bradford – 200-yard IM – 1:58.70; 500-yard freestyle – 5:02.63
Luke Edmonds – 50-yard freestyle – 22.19; 100-yard freestyle – 49.40
Ted Kinney – 100-yard freestyle – 48.27
Michael Kocher – 100-yard backstroke – 55.23

Edinboro returns to action on Friday, November 1 at Bloomsburg.
