Edinboro Looks to Tame Huskies on Friday Night

EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro men's swimming team look to pick up its second win of the season when the Fighting Scots swim at Bloomsburg on Friday, November 1. The Fighting Scots and Huskies will square off at 6:00 p.m.

Edinboro opened the season with a 102-91 win over Indiana(Pa.) (110-95) before suffering a 54-41 loss at Tiffin. Bloomsburg, meanwhile, is 1-2. The Huskies opened the season with losses to West Chester and Lehigh before defeating Susquehanna.  A year ago, the Huskies claimed a 126-74 victory, but head coach Chris Rhodes expects a much closer score this year.

The IUP meet saw six swimmers post wins, and a total of five swimmers registered PSAC qualifying times. Edinboro would post first place finishes in seven events, with four different swimmers winning multiple events. Nick BradfordJackson Bangert, and freshman Luke Edmonds took part in three first place finishes, while Ted Kinney, another freshman, was a double-winner.

Bradford and Kinney were both double winners at Tiffin as five Fighting Scots registered PSAC-qualifying marks.
