CHARLESTON, WV -- In their last non-conference matchup of the season the Edinboro men's tennis team picked up a 6-1 win on the road over Charleston. The Fighting Scots picked up the doubles point before winning at two through six singles for the victory. Edinboro improves to 12-4 on the season and are on a four match winning streak while the Golden Eagles fall to 4-6 this year.

Mateus Santos and Tommy Hsu made quick work of Thomas Andrews and Bryson Tye 6-2 at number two doubles while Mauricio Santos and Nils Plutat followed up with a 6-4 win over Jason Prince and Ian Morrison at number three. Kevin Mboko and Julius Schulte dropped a tight 7-5 match at the top spot to Ben Lakeman and Joao Tayar.

In singles, Plutat picked up a win over Andrews leading 6-0, 2-0 when Andrews retired to give Edinboro the 2-0 lead. Mauricio Santos and Schulte won in straight sets at number two and six singles, respectively, to clinch the win for the Fighting Scots. Hsu and Mboko added onto the win with three-set wins.

Edinboro continues their road trip when they return to PSAC action on Friday, April 12 when they visit Bloomsburg. Match time is scheduled for 4:00 PM
