Fighting Scots head wrestling coach Matt Hill announces top 25 recruiting class for 2020-2021

EDINBORO, PA – Edinboro's wrestling program has announced a recruiting class of 15 for the upcoming academic year, including six student-athletes ranked No. 17 or better nationally.

"We are very thankful to welcome this excellent group of student athletes to the Edinboro wrestling family this fall," said Hill, who guided his team to the MAC Championships last season. "Each of them possesses the core values of hard work and commitment on and off the mat that we strive for daily at Edinboro University."

InterMat wrestling ranks this Fighting Scot class in the Top 25 of programs nationally. The group touts five state championships and dozens of placements in state tournaments among them.

"My staff and I are looking build a great foundation with this group to continue a tradition of Edinboro wrestling in national prominence," said Hill, 3-time national qualifier as a Fighting Scot, who's entering his third season as head coach of the program. "As a staff our goal is to make each one of these young men the best versions of themselves in the community, academically and on the mat."

The MAC conference announced the postponement of fall sports on Aug. 8. But no formal announcement has been made regarding winter sports.
