EDINBORO, Pa. - The Edinboro men's tennis team wasted no time picking up the victory in their PSAC semifinals match against the Huskies of Bloomsburg University. Edinboro was able to come up with the win by a final score of 4-0.
In doubles, the duos of
Takahiro Inoue (Osaka, Japan/Yanagawa) and
Kai Chin Chen (Taipei, Taiwan) and
Kaio Sacchi (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Santo Ivo) and
Ruben Acuna (Palma De Mallorca, Spain/Aula Balear) were able to pick up victories which gave the team momentum as they prepared for singles play. As Edinboro Head Tennis Coach alluded too coming into this match, setting the tone in doubles would be the key to victory and it gave the team confidence as they entered singles play.

In the other semifinal match between Millersville and Mercyhurst, the Lakers were able to pick up the win which sets up a rematch from April 17 in which the Fighting Scots fell 4-3 to their conference rivals.
Duncan had this to say about his team's performance and the upcoming showdown with Mercyhurst. "I really liked how we came out strong in doubles. We worked very hard this week to improve it and it showed today with momentum carrying into singles play. I also loved the energy which was great to see. We need to do the same on Friday to have the same success."
