EDINBORO, PA – The Edinboro Women's Tennis team competed in the ITA Atlantic Regional this past weekend at Millersville University. 

Champ Singles 

  • Rafaella Negrao De Almeida was victorious over Julia Pinto of WV Wesleyan with scores of 6-4, 6-2, then fell short in the second round to Katy Graydon of IUP by scores of 6-0, 6-2 
  • Anisha Thada was defeated by Emma Arnal of West Liberty in the first round with scores of 6-0, 6-0 
  • Vidisha Pallamreddy was defeated by Mackenzie Sorton of Fairmont State in the first round with scores of 6-4, 0-6, 10-7 

B Singles 

  • Kaitlin Toth was defeated by Hannah Sprout of Fairmont State in the first round with a score of 5-3 
  • Marina Zottele made a nice run and made it to the final eight, along the way she came away with two impressive wins after starting with a first round bye, she eventually fell short to Georgie Lancaster of Slippery Rock University with scores of 6-3, 6-1 
  • Ana Nadai started her first round with a bye, she was then defeated by Alyssa Skulsky of West Chester University with scores of 2-6, 6-2, 10-4 
  • Sandra Riecken was defeated in the first round by Ishika Agarwal of West Liberty University with scores of 6-1, 6-1 

Champ Doubles 

  • Pallamreddy / Thada were defeated in the first round by Alexander / Lee of West Chester University with a score of 8-3 
  • De Almeida / Zottele were victorious over Massaro / Shulsky of West Chester University in the first round with a score of 8-6, De Almeida / Zottele were then defeated by Kirchtag / Graydon of IUP with a score of 8-3 

B Doubles 

  • Toth / Riecken started with a first round bye, they were then defeated by Dunarova / Jones in the second round by a score of 8-3 
  • Nadai / Cevera were defeated in the first round by Zanotti / Cabral of Bluefield State by a score of 8-5 



"For a young group, I thought we played well. There is a lot we have to work on but it was a great learning experience for the women.  

Marina Zottele played well making it far in the B draw singles. I was happy to see her progression."
