GROVE CITY, Pa. – Sophomore Vidisha Pallamreddy (Banjara Hills, AF Pacific) swept her two number one singles sets, 6-0 over Alexis Chappel.
Her fellow Fighting Scots followed suit, as head coach Kody Duncan led his squad to Grove City College to celebrate Labor Day with a win.
First year Anisha Thada (Hyderabad, AF Pacific) bested Logan Fussin 6-2 in two sets in number two singles, and sophomore Marina Zottele followed up a 6-3 set win with a 6-0 triumph of her own in threes.
Freshman Ana Nadai (Vitoria, AF Americas) downed Emily Ivory in number four singles, 6-1 and 6-3.
First year Kaitlin Toth (Asthabula, Ohio.) won her first set against Janel McCray, dropping the second before rallying to a 10-5 finish to take the victory in number five singles.
First year Sandra Riecken (Tutzing, AF Africa) got the best of Lilliah Jeynes 6-2 and 6-4 to take number six singles.
Sophomore Anna Zak (Pittsburgh, Pa.) returned for the Scots in number seven singles and came back from a 4-6 loss in set one to win 6-4 and 10-6.

Zotelle and Zak are returners from a season ago, leading a team which Duncan and assistant coach Merie Berghaus have bolstered in depth.

Pallamreddy and Thada comprised a first doubles pairing that won 6-2 over Fuss and Good.
Zottele and Toth won doubles two over Jeynes and Ivory, 6-2.
Riecken and Nadai partnered to defeat Chappel and McCray in doubles three.

With the win, the Scots are now victorious in two-of-three matches against Grove City dating back to their Sept. 5, 2015, meeting.

The Fighting Scots play host to Allegheny College in a home opener contest Wednesday Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. in Edinboro. The men will also be in action against Allegheny the same day.
