Football Falls to Visiting Seton Hill

Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro football team dropped a 45-14 decision to visiting Seton Hill Saturday afternoon at Sox Harrison Stadium.

The teams entered the half even at 14-14, but Luke Hauger gave Seton Hill a 17-14 advantage on a field goal with 6:22 to play in the third quarter with a 27-yard field goal. The Griffins extended the lead about a minute later when Damonte Pratt returned an interception 35-yards for the score.

The Griffins would score three rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter, two by Ky'Ron Craggette and one by Taz Morris, to open up the game and set the final at 45-14.

The Scots got on the board first when they took the opening possession 78-yards in nine plays capped by a Keon Anderson, on-yard touchdown plunge. The extra point was no good making the score 6-0 Edinboro.

Seton Hill answered with a five-play 60-yard drive that ended with a 13-yard touchdown from Tyler Bradley to Mark Bails giving the Griffins a 7-6 lead. Elijah Williams extended the lead two minutes into the second with a 10-yard touchdown run.

Edinboro pulled even before the half on a 40-yard touchdown pass from Isaac Bernard to Thaddeus Standfield. Bernard would connect with Karamago Sylla for the two point conversion making the score 14-14.

Bernard finsihed the day 18-of-34 for 151 yards and a touchdown. Standfield caught four of those passes for 73 yards and the touchdown.

Clay Cunningham made 16 tackles, seven solo, as he crossed over 100 tackles for the season. He currently is at 113 for the year. Malcolm Johnson made 11 tackles including a tackle for loss and five solo stops.

The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Slippery Rock for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
