OSaegertown, Pa. -- The Edinboro wrestling team dropped a 31-12 decision to MAC foe Ohio Saturday night at Saegertown High School.
After dropping the first two bouts of the match,
Amonn Ohl got the Scots on the board in a big way when he turned a reversal into a fall at 3:42 in match cutting the Bobcat lead to 7-6.
Jake Pail gave Edinboro the lead pushing the offense and earning a stall point to tie the score at 1-1- before regulation ended. He then continued to push the offense in sudden victory and scored the winning take down. Ohio recorded back-to-back falls at 157 and 165 to retake the lead 19-9. A pair of Bobcat decisions and a forfeit gave the Bobcats a 31-9 advantage.
Nick Lodato finished the night on a high note for the Scots scoring a pair of take downs and a reversal as well as locking in a riding point to win 7-1 in the final bout of the night.
The Scots are back in action on Dec. 18 when they travel to the Buffalo Duals.
