Buffalo, N.Y. -- The Edinboro wrestling squad dropped a pair of matches Saturday afternoon to the University of Buffalo and Bucknell at the Buffalo Duals.
In the opener, the Scots dropped a 26-6 decision to the Bulls before dropping a 36-7 dual to Bucknell.
In the first match, Buffalo took a 16-0 winning four of the first five bouts via decision with one major at 149. Max Kirby got the Scots on the board with a 3-1 win in sudden victory at 165.
Jared McGill scored a 4-2 decision at 174 before Buffalo closed out the match with a major decision at 184 and decisions at 197 and 285.
Against Bucknell, Aiden Lewis blanked Grayson McLellan 10-0 at 125 to give Edinboro a 4-0 lead. Three straight falls for the Bison made it 18-4. Bucknell extended their lead to 24-4 with decisions at 157 and 165.
McGill picked up his second win of the day with a 6-2 decision. The Bison closed out the match with a fall and then a pair of decisions to set the final.
The Scots are back in action on Dec. 23 when they travel to Kent State for a MAC dual.
