Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro wrestling team scored bonus points at 141 and 149, but dropped a tough 24-16 dual to visiting Lock Haven Sunday afternoon inside McComb Fieldhouse.
After falling behind 9-0 in the first two bouts, Edinboro answered back at 141.
Gabe Willochell scored a 9-1 major decision to trim the lead to 9-4.
Ryan Burgos kept the Scots rolling getting scoring a fall in 5:50 to put Edinboro ahead 10-9. The Bald Eagles took the lead back winning the next three bouts including a tech fall at 157 and a major at 165 to extend the lead to 21-10.
Ethan Ducca battled for a 3-2 decision holding off a late surge by Colin Fegley. At 197,
Cody Mulligan used the momentum of a full ride out in the second period to claim a 6-3 decision to trim the Lock Haven advantage to 21-16. The Bald Eagles tallied a decision at 285 to set the final.
The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they host Clarion at 7 p.m. inside McComb Fieldhouse.
