Edinboro, Pa. – Edinboro won four straight bouts, but came up on the wrong end of a 29-14 match to visiting Bloomsburg Sunday afternoon.
The match started a 149 and Bloomsburg got off to a fast start with a Cade Balestrini fall over
Sully Allen. Alex Carida extended the advantage with a 12-1 major decision.
Dylan Kohn opened the scoring for the Scots with an 8-0 major decision over Trenton Harder at 165. At 174,
Joey Arnold trailed 1-0 plus had conceded the riding time point, but scored a take down in the final seconds to force sudden victory. Arnold carried the late momentum and scored the take down in sudden victory to earn the decision and cut the Huskie lead to 10-7.
Ethan Ducca knotted the match at 10-10 scoring an 8-4 decision over Bruno Solfi.
Cody Mulligan gave the Scots the lead with a 10-2 major decision at 197 over David Tuttle.
At 285,
Max Millin pushed the pace on his feet, but dropped a tough 3-2 decision to Shane Noonan. Bloomsburg opened up and clinched the match with back-to-back falls at 125 and 133.
The Scots are back in action on March 3 when they travel to Athens, Ohio for the MAC Championships.
